The Federal Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program was created to assist low-income individuals and families to succeed in their struggle against poverty. CSBG funds are awarded to county governments and nonprofit agencies located in each county to create, coordinate, and deliver services to low-income Nevadans. The Department of Health and Human Services, Grants Management Unit, awards funding to each agency to manage community-based programs and network with other local agencies to address poverty issues.
