 In
2001, the Children's Trust Fund conducted a statewide survey
of services within Nevada that work to prevent child abuse
and neglect. This report provides an overview of the
statewide picture of the occurrence of abuse and neglect. It
also discusses the five major categories of prevention
services along with best practices for each. The majority of
the report looks at Nevada county by county. This section of
the report gives the local perspective including county
demographics and a directory of services by category.
Challenges and recommendations for creating a continuum of
services in each county are outlined in the report for each
