| Welcome to the DHHS Health Care Reform Web
site. This site has been created to give the public
access to a broad array of information about the
many issues related to the federal Patient
Protection and Affordable Care Act, the legislation
creating health care reform. While the State of
Nevada is joining several other states in
challenging the law, the Governor and DHHS believe
it’s prudent to plan appropriately for its
implementation and prepare for the many changes that
will occur within government and the private
insurance markets under the terms of the reform
bill. Many aspects of health care reform
are still to be decided, and the states are awaiting
federal guidance on a slew of issues. As the
practical application of these issues becomes more
clear, this site will be continually updated and
changed as needed to supply the public with the best
information available.
