Services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Speech Impaired available statewide

Today, the Communication Access Services (CAS) program of the Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) of the Department of Health and Human Services is pleased to announce that services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Speech Impaired individuals in Nevada are transitioning to new community partners starting October 1, 2021.

Are you deaf, hard of hearing, or speech impaired and in need of telecommunications and/or other assistive technology?
Please contact University of Nevada, Reno’s (UNR) equipment distribution program at 833-427-1672 or cas-telecom@unr.edu.

Are you a family with a deaf or hard of hearing child age 0 to 21 and in need of resources or role modeling?
Please contact Nevada Hands & Voices (NVHV) at 775-351-1959 or info@nvhandsandvoices.org. You may also visit their website at www.nvhandsandvoices.org.

Are you a deaf or hard of hearing adult age 22 or older and in need of help accessing services such as employment, health care, education or other social services?

Are you deaf and need to learn sign language, or need to learn sign language to communicate with deaf or hard of hearing children or adults in your family or workplace?
Communication Service for the Deaf (CSD) will be starting American Sign Language (ASL) classes in February 2022. Please contact cascinfo@adsd.nv.gov or 702-830-9103 to receive additional information.
