The Public Information Officers within the five divisions of the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) serve as the first point of contact for media inquiries, provide information to members of the public, respond to public records requests and provide other support for the Department and its many programs.
Public Records Requests
The Department of Health and Human Services and its divisions strive to provide transparency to the public by adhering to the requirements of Nevada Public Records Law NRS Chapter 239. Requests for DHHS public information documents can be filed online through the GovQA Public Portal or via mail.
The Department regularly sends press releases to members of the media with updates and information of note to be shared with the public. Previously distributed press releases can be found on the Department’s website.
