Nevada Deaf Commission Invites Community Participation in Town Hall Meetings

The Nevada Commission for Persons who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing invite the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community to upcoming town hall meetings to learn about recent legislative changes and Nevada’s legislative process. The town hall meetings aim to collect input for future advocacy efforts and prepare for the Engagement Conference on December 16, 2023.

The Commission will be hosting three in-person town hall meetings throughout Nevada:

• Tuesday, October 10, 2023, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Nye Communities Coalition Activity Center, 1020 E. Wilson Road, Pahrump
• Friday, October 13, 2023, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Aging and Disability Service Division, Reno Office, 9670 Gateway Drive, Suite 299, Reno
• Tuesday, October 24, 2023, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. the Aging and Disability Service Division, Las Vegas Office, 3320 W. Sahara Ave., Suite 100, Las Vegas

The Commission encourages all community members, advocates, and organizations with an interest in Deaf and Hard of Hearing issues to participate in these town hall meetings.

The mission of the Commission is to ensure all Nevada citizens will have equal and full access to resources, services, and opportunities in all aspects of community life. To accomplish this mission, the Commission works to advocate for and support equal and full access across our state.
