Nevadans Reminded to Complete and Return Medicaid Renewal Packets

Procedural denials for Medicaid to resume January 1, 2024

Las Vegas, NV December 11, 2023

Medicaid members are encouraged to update their address and complete the renewal packet they receive in the mail since Medicaid denials for members who do not complete the required paperwork restart Jan. 1, 2024.

Renewal packets were mailed to members in November 2023, and must be completed, signed, and returned to the Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) for eligibility to be reviewed.

If additional information is needed to process the renewal, a letter will be sent to the individual. With the change in disenrollment process, if a packet is not returned, or additional requested information is not provided, only the affected members will be disenrolled, while the household members that were automatically renewed remain eligible.

Medicaid members should go to the Update My Address website and provide their current contact information. Additional information on how to renew Medicaid is available online. To apply for Medicaid or other benefits go to Access Nevada.
